I got a new Crock Pot for Christmas, so of course I had to cook a pot roast in it . . . and I immediately moved on to even greater heights by whipping up some incredible Paleo chili from scratch. Since this is from scratch, IT’S MESSY. Good for a Sunday.
Today at the gym I did my “Workout B” — Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Presses, and a metabolic conditioning routine (in this case two times Box Jump / Push Up 21-15-9 for time). How did I do?
I enjoy sharing with friends my dietary and lifestyle changes and how they have dramatically impacted my well-being, my weight, and my body composition. I have also begun to make some changes to my fitness routine that I thought might be of interest. I have been seeing good results.
My trainer, Grant Hill, recently turned me on to David Asprey’s “Bulletproof® Coffee.” I am now a convert. A cup of this will charge up your morning and power you into lunchtime easy. It sounds insane, but it is quite tasty (like a latte) and way easy to make.
I know that many friends look at all of the fitness things I do and think to themselves: “How insane is that person!” I will grant you that I work out at a fairly intense level these days, but there is much more to the story. I want to give a strong recommendation to the idea of working with a personal trainer.
The key is to train yourself to have the proper gait — looking up “barefoot running” can help get some pointers. I describe the key ones in the video.
